This web site is designed to emphasize my primary product--Virtual Tours. The idea is to create a sense of place, while retaining all the functionality of traditional web sites.

I call it a "Web Place."

One guiding principle in the design of this Web Place is that it must be as easy to use as any web site. That's why every page has a Menu and redundant links to other pages.

The bales of straw have no particular significance. In the fall of 2002 I thought it would be interesting to make a virtual tour of this wheat field, but quickly abandoned the project, deciding it was too esoteric to have much commercial value.

Later, when I conceived of the notion of a Web Place, I remembered these photos, and decided they were ideally suited for this purpose.
